Ski Trip (swooosh!)

Below are some pictures of my recent ski trip. If you go to this link, you can view the ski resort's live webcam to see if you spot anyone currently falling .. um .. I mean skiing - http://www.shawneemt.com/webcam2.html.   I had soooo much fun skiing! I almost ended up going without a ski suit. Here's what happened:

I keep my ski suit (all seasonal stuff) in a storage facility nearby, as I got off the phone with my friend Kathy who was about 40 minutes away from picking me up I reached for my key chain and discovered that I didn't have my storage key on it ... it then dawned on me ... "ooooh, that's what the key I found 2 weeks ago THAT I THREW OUT was for!". So what's a girl to do? I went to the nearest sporting goods store! But when I asked where their ski stuff was located, they told me they only had children's suits. OUCH! I still decided to take a look at the ski suit pants and as I did I spotted a boys suit pants that made me think "hmmm, I wonder ... could I actually fit in it?". I went into the fitting room AND IT FIT. Okay, okay .. it was a bit short on me, but after putting on the ski boots you couldn't really tell. What was important was that I could move around well and if I fell I would have waterproof armor! I couldn't stop giggling in the fitting room knowing I managed to squeeze myself into a children's size (thank goodness I had reached my new year's goal of my ideal weight). So by the time my friend Kathy arrived to pick me up I was all "suited up" and "ready to go". She had a blast laughing at my story as much as I did!

So the ski trip was a BLAST! And, it was so beautiful seeing the sunset at the top of the mountain. It made me forget how long the trail was to get back down ... well, until I started down the tall mountain. At one point I ended up taking a wrong turn into a more advanced trail - thank goodness for the cushiony snow for my tushy. And, thank goodness it wasn't the super advanced trail .. or I would had been the snowball rolling down the mountain! Here are some the pictures (I hope you like the sunset pictures!):ski

There's a quote I received from a fortune cookie that I love and want to share with you: "Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment". As always, I wish you the best!
